2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)
The Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization (GHMPO) adopted the 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) on May 6, 2025. This MTP update covers a 30-year period between 2025 and 2055 and provides a guide for the Gainesville region’s transportation investments by prioritizing needs across the planning boundary and identifying both short and long-term strategies for the management and improvement of the metropolitan transportation network. This update satisfies the federal requirement of updating a metropolitan transportation plan every five years for the GHMPO planning area.
