At the May 12, 2026 Policy Committee, GHMPO adopted the Highlands to Islands Trail Study: UNG to McEver Road. This study provided Hall County, Gainesville, Oakwood, Flowery Branch, and UNG with multiple options for closing the gap in the trail network between UNG and McEver Road. Hoschton Master Transportation Plan
At the May 12, 2026 Policy Committee, GHMPO adopted the Hoschton Master Transportation Plan, the first of its kind for the City. This plan provides Hoschton with a list of short and long-term transportation projects to consider funding with various potential mechanisms such as SPLOST, TSPLOST, and other grant opportunities.
